December. Wow I can not believe another year has come and gone. Its been awhile since I posted last and I really have no excuse but LIFE. Lots has happened this past year but I'll post that another time. Maybe closer to the New Year. I am starting December off with a bang and a New page. Last year I started a new tradition for myself. I started creating a "December" book. There is so much that happens everyday in December and many things get missed or not properly documented in our scrapbooks. Most people, myself included tend to just document Christmas day or Christmas celebrations, and not the things that happen everyday. Things like, baking, school functions, hot chocolate and snow days and there are so many more things we all do in December that are missed out. SO MANY SCRAPPING OPPORTUNITIES!!! So to rectify this I started a December book. Last year I did 8x8 pages and loathed it so this year I am going to my original scrap style and using 12x12 pages. So here it is page 1. My oldest is in Kindergarten and yesterday (Nov.30th) they decorated their class Christmas tree. He was insistent today that we go take a picture of it and his decoration that he contributed. I also couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a pic of the weather and our lovely snow covered house. Its starting to put me in the Christmas spirit. Products used: Close to My Heart Wonderland Paper, Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, Dun Yan Cricut Cartridge, Dollarama ribbon, smooches pearl spritz.

I made this card for my best friend. The stamp is Close to my heart and the paper, ribbon and flowers were all extras I had laying around.

What I've been up to!!

I read recently that when you scrap and you do a set of pages you should do cards with the scraps. I also read recently to do cards in batches which I am totally a fan of. These Cards are a result of both! The set of pages are of Carvers Second summer and his adventures that summer!

Pic#1 and pic#5 are a set of batch cards that I made after making one of my best friends Birthday card (hers was a bit different)

Pic #4 is my hubbys birthday/fathers day card the inside said "your 3 lil monkeys love you" it was made from scraps of a set of pages that I still need to post pics for.

Pic #3 is my brothers birthday card (ditto number 3 done with scraps)

Kaity Turned One on Jan 1st. This layout is so simple but it turned out amazing. I distressed all the edges of the paper and photos then inked te edges. I loved how it turned out!!

Its been Awhile

Ive been MIA and in doing so I havent been able so share my creations! This in one I worked on in October. A few friends of mine and myself got together and did a Card exchange. We all picked a subject and had to make 50 cards. Being the keener I am I made 100! I ended up with 20 packs of 10 cards each (all different) so I put the packages together and sent them out as gifts. Everyone loves homemade cards so it was a hit. I will do this every year and start way earlier. Heres a peek at the ones I did. Baby Boy and Baby Girl

Aunty Flo 5 Pattern Challenge

This layout was a "challenge" The challenge was to use 5 Different Patterned papers! I thought these pictures matched the challenge perfectly! Aunty Flo is such an amazing person and the papers I picked suited her personality as much as the pictures!!

A Week FULL of Birthdays

This Card I made for my oldest brothers birthday on Friday (he turned 19) I used the slice cartridge basic shapes for the star and the lettering! I made the checkers by cutting 1 inch sectioned from bottom to to then I wove the black 1 inch by 6 inch strips through the slit card and double sided tapped it all together! I had soo much fun designing this card! I put a gift card in it and he loved it! His exact words were "sis its the best card I've ever got" so one down and a whole swack load left!!!

Ducky Slide Card

I designed and made this card for our little
friend Hunters 2nd Birthday (he is a month
older than Carver) I used the desigen of of
the Slice* website (www.whyslice.com) they
used a robot so I altered it to fit my own
design! I used the Slice Cartridge "Animal
Crackers" for the little duck and the bushes
and the heart in the ducky's mouth I used a
shape and cut it in half! I will post the
instructions at a later time you can also
check it out at www.whyslice.com If you pull
the "Pull Me tab" the Ducky slides behind
the bushes!!

Welcome Princess Card

I designed and made this card for the newest
little addition to our friend’s family. I used
the slice* cartridge “Animal Crackers” to cut
out the font and the crown and wand! I used
glitter glue on the crown and wand. I love how
this card turned out and was sad to give it away
but that’s the whole reason I made it was for precious
little Sydney!! I hope you like it!! B

I did this page for Joeys Third Birthday, I made home made cake and My sister in law helped me decorate them! I Used the Slice* (basics 1) for all my fonts! I absolutely love my new toy!!! This page layout is my own!!
